Many people enjoy watching films all alone. Many others prefer sharing the view with some friends. We are part of the second team, as we love including people in our crazy plans. They are quite ordinary plans, but, with other people, we have more fun. Moreover, sharing a film festival experience can build great links between friends. Film Festivals
Let’s begin our “survey” with contemporary International Film Festival. If you wish to discover new films and new directors from all over the world, this is the festival for you. This event has been created by a cultural association and promotes both fiction and non-fiction films. Film-lovers, this contest will become soon your favourite summer event. Lights, camera, action!
Second of the list, the Nocturna. This is a unique chance to discover magical worlds and to experience unconventional adventures. This time we address all those fantasy film fans who will be in Madrid in October 2019 (and if you will not, this may be a reason to spend next semester in Madrid). This International Fantastic Film Festival offers us premiere, classics, many activities and… special guests. This film festival prelude to the Halloween atmosphere.
Back in 1991, this film competition was set up as a showcase for new directors and new productions. This festival is a must for every single film-lover who lives in Madrid and you cannot leave the Spanish capital if you have never been to it. We really appreciate this event and we think that it is a great chance to discover directors who would remain unknown. If we suggest you to attend this festival? Of course, we do.
Raise your hands if you are interested in documentary films! We have discovered this genre only recently and we love it more each day. It offers the chance to discover new things and to look at the society or at historical facts with a critical eye. This year, it will be the 16th edition of this International Documentary Film Festival organized by the Madrid City Council. Besides the screening of several woks by Spanish filmmakers, this festival will host several directors’ presentations and many inspiring discussions. This is something that you cannot miss in May.
The biggest Spanish LGBTI film festival had to be in Madrid. Year by year LesGaiCineMad has become a reference point of the Spanish LGBTI production for the entire world. Diversity, bisexual, transgender, gay and lesbian are the themes of the works screened during this festival. A great chance to deepen these topics and a great chance to discover new masterpieces.
