What you cannot miss in July - Pride 2019

Hello readers,

Here is what you cannot miss in July! Summer has fully hit Madrid and our agenda is full of fun.

Moreover, this month is quite special in Madrid, because we are going to experience the World Pride, the biggest Gay Pride event in the world, and we will celebrate together the diversity we have in our city!

We’ve been waiting for summer since last year, and now that it’s here we want to take full advantage of this time. Don’t miss out on any of the fun events and activities available during the summer, you should definitely make the most of this time. Maybe we’ll see you there!

Before you get lost in the fun of summer and all the events we have to tell you about today, there are some important things you need to think about. If you plan to live in Madrid, you definitely need to plan out your budget. Once you’ve defined your budget, you can begin looking into accommodations in Madrid. If you need some help deciding on a location, our blog has taken a look at many of the neighbourhoods in the city, exploring them so you can find the perfect area for you.

When you know which neighbourhood you want to stay in, consider a room in a shared flat. These are the best option for students and young workers because they have so many benefits including making it easier to find new friends, lowering your cost of living, and helping you adjust to new cultures. Once you’ve figured out your budget, you can start enjoying all that the city has to offer. Let’s take a look at what’s happening in July.

Events and More

28 June - 7 July - Madrid Pride: Music, art, and culture collide in the streets as the LGBT community of Madrid celebrates their diversity. Events are held nightly in Plaza del Rey and  Plaza Pedro Zerolo starting the 3rd, Puerta del Sol starting the 4th, and Puerta de Alcala starting the 5th. On July 3rd the celebration is truly kicked off with Pride Proclamation. A High Heels Race takes place on the 4th, and the principal event of Madrid Pride, Pride Parade, takes place on July 6th, marching through the main streets of Madrid from Atocha to Colon.
